I cloned a classic game I played years ago on my Ti-83+, turning it into Javascript, in less than 6 hours"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I&#8217;ve really had fun with this idea: last night I remembered about an old\u00c2\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.ticalc.org\/archives\/files\/fileinfo\/148\/14876.html\" target=\"_blank\">Ti-83+ game called &#8220;Phoenix&#8221;<\/a>, which is simple a Galaga clone. Then I realized: why play it, when I can program it! So after lunch I hacked away at an HTML5 \/ Canvas version and created a small clone of it called\u00c2\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/nint22\/JSPhoenix\" target=\"_blank\">JSPhoenix<\/a>!<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/nint22\/JSPhoenix\" target=\"_blank\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-212 aligncenter\" title=\"Test\" src=\"https:\/\/www.cores2.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/11\/Test-300x198.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"180\" height=\"119\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.cores2.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/11\/Test-300x198.png 300w, https:\/\/www.cores2.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/11\/Test.png 386w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 180px) 100vw, 180px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Point of the story: It&#8217;s hard to develop big and complex games&#8230; but making this tiny little game was a blast!
